Biography
Maddi H. McLeland is an Associate Attorney. Maddi defends clients in litigation involving a wide range of employment issues, ranging from discrimination and harassment claims to contract disputes and wage-hour complaints. Maddi also assists private and public employers with employment-law compliance issues, including drafting and revising employment policies, handbooks, personnel manuals, and release agreements. She helps employers respond to charges and complaints filed with administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Labor, and the National Labor Relations Board. Maddi graduated from Florida State University in 2020, summa cum laude, earning a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Bachelor of Science in International Affairs, with a concentration in Religion and certificates in Emergency Management and Homeland Security and U.S. Intelligence Studies. Maddi received her Juris Doctor degree from Florida State University College of Law in 2023. While in school, she served as Secretary for the Student Bar Association, competed on behalf of the College of Law as a member of the Trial Team, and was a staff editor on the Journal of Land Use and Environmental Law and the Journal of Transnational Law and Policy. During her time in school, Maddi worked as a Law Clerk at The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants in their General Counsel’s office. Maddi was born in Greenville, South Carolina and was raised in various cities throughout the United States as well as Canada and the Netherlands.
