Mary Virginia Ballantyne is an Associate Attorney. She represents employers in both the private and public sectors across various industries. Mary Virginia defends clients in employment litigation matters in both federal and state court, and before government agencies such as the EEOC and FCHR. Mary Virginia also works on drafting and reviewing client handbooks to ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws. Mary Virginia received her undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Washington and Lee University in 2015, where she was Captain of the Women’s Field Hockey team. Following college, Mary Virginia spent four years as an early childhood teacher in the charter school system in Washington, D.C. Mary Virginia received her Juris Doctor degree from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2022. While in law school, Mary Virginia served as a Guardian-Ad Litem in Forsyth County, a key member of the Wake Forest Medical-Legal Partnership Development Team, and Secretary of the Wake Forest chapter of Phi Alpha Delta. Additionally, Mary Virginia worked as a law clerk for a local labor and employment law firm in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Mary Virginia was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. She loves spending time with her family and exploring Tampa.
