TAMPA, FL – Labor and employment law firm Johnson Jackson PLLC is pleased to announce the promotion of two of its attorneys. Christopher Bentley has been promoted to Shareholder. Ashley Gallagher has been promoted to Partner. Both of the firm’s promotions are effective immediately.
“Chris and Ashley are exceptional employment lawyers who are committed to the quality of their counsel to our clients,” says Erin Jackson, Johnson Jackson Founding Shareholder. “Chris has made significant contributions as a leader both within our firm and in our community. He is a highly effective lawyer and advocate for employers who have been wrongfully accused of violations of the law. Ashley has been an invaluable part of Johnson Jackson since we opened our doors. Her promotion to Partner is a testament to her conscientiousness and the incredible work that she has done for our clients.”
Bentley has been a Partner with Johnson Jackson since the firm opened in 2017 and has been practicing employment law since 2008. A graduate of the University of Florida Levin College of Law, Bentley counsels both public and private-sector employers across the country in all matters relating to employment law and labor relations. He currently serves as the Immediate Past Chair of the Board for the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Advisory Board of the First Tee of Tampa Bay, along with other community and industry involvement.
“I am very excited and honored to become an equity shareholder at Johnson Jackson,” Bentley says of this promotion. “It has always been a goal of mine and I look forward to continuing to grow and evolve this firm. That said, in this role, I plan to continue efforts to expand our client base, provide our clients with trusted advice and strategic defense, and maintain a culture of teamwork, excellence, growth, and innovation.”
Gallagher has been an Associate Attorney with the firm since its inception in 2017 and was promoted to Senior Associate Attorney in 2020. Gallagher earned her Juris Doctorate degree from the Florida State University College of Law and currently practices management-side labor and employment law in both the public and private sectors. She is involved with several industry and community organizations including the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, of which she currently serves as Vice President. She also serves as an 11th Circuit Representative on the Board of Directors for the Federal Bar Association Younger Lawyers Division and Chair of the Junior League of Tampa’s Grants Committee.
“It has been an incredible experience to grow as an attorney while simultaneously watching Johnson Jackson grow,” Gallagher says. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve in this new role alongside our amazing attorneys and staff who have each played a significant role in helping me get to this point in my career. I am committed to upholding Johnson Jackson’s reputation as it pertains to its exceptional client service and fostering a firm culture that helps our team realize their full potential.”
